Where is Modbury:

Modbury is the quintessential small West Country town. Set in a among rolling Devon hills just a few miles from the sea, it has 761 households, a high street, three churches, a primary school, three pubs, two takeaways, a surgery, a small supermarket and 40 or so small shops.

Famous for only three things:

The childhood home of Sir Walter Raleigh. 1618.

Birthplace of Robert Stetson father to John Batterson Stetson, founder of the Stetson cowboy hat company in the U.S. 1806.

Lastly of course being the first place in Europe to stop issuing plastic bags. 2007.

Going on this timeframe we've worked out we don't have to do anything else for another 200 years. :)
